IBM has announced the deprecation of core Hyper Protect services
IBM is phasing out its Hyper Protect portfolio, requiring action from existing users: Hyper Protect Virtual Servers (HPVS) can no longer be newly deployed since February 2026 and will be fully shut down by February 2027 , while Hyper Protect Crypto Services (HPCS) is already deprecated and will reach End of Life in March 2027 . In addition, related capabilities such as HPCS integrations have already been deprecated as of March 2026, further limiting functionality and reinforcing the need for a timely migration.

Why PHOENIQS
A migration path for IBM Hyper Protect clients
PHOENIQS supports organizations that need to move away from deprecated IBM Cloud Hyper Protect services while preserving the security principles that made Hyper Protect attractive in the first place: dedicated cryptographic infrastructure, strong isolation, customer-controlled key hierarchies, and enterprise-grade governance.
